Philosophy and Mission

Is this where we get to tuck our thumbs in our belts, rock back on our heels, have a good spit and then dispense some ancient wisdom about the oneness of the universe?  No?  Ok, good.  'cause we was drawin' us-selves a total blank!

The truth is that we live and work the way we do because we believe it improves our health, amplifies our happiness, and increases our personal liberty.

We choose to grow as much of our own food as we can.  We choose to not use synthetic chemicals, hormones, or genetically modified organisms.  To the best of our understanding, we try to work with nature instead of against it; we understand that the natural state of the earth is abundance, not scarcity.  We agree with permaculture founder Bill Mollison that "The only ethical decision is to take responsibility for our own existence and that of our children."

With this approach we are slowly building our farm and it will likely never be totally "done".  It will evolve with time and change as our understanding grows.  Through this process, we hope to contribute valuable products to our local community, support other people who are on the path to sustainability, and share our approach with others.

Oh....That pretty girl in the picture is Dixie....just pumped to get out of the truck!
